The daily life at Dungeness Courte improves the quality of life for people with dementia. It supports rather than challenges them by offering life-enhancing, yet familiar activities, like baking, gardening, religious events, music and reminiscing.

Our residents benefit from our adherence to the Gentle Care approach. Our caring staff provides individual attention to meet the unique needs, preferences and abilities of each resident.

Meaningful activities are very important to us here at Dungeness Courte.
Some of our activities include:

• Musical entertainment guest two times a week
• Pet therapy is held once a month with Gentle Paws
• Table games and sing a longs are held weekly
• Bingo and story time are popular activities among our residents
• Sittercise is a relaxing way to spend an evening with caregivers
• Parachute games bring out the competitor in many of our residents
• Birthday parties are always a big time favorite with lots of cake and ice cream.
• Wonderful talented piano player love to shares with us weekly
• Churches in our area stop by on Fridays to sing a few favorite hymns

Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, loves something, and has lost something.
